During the selection process at Colégio Central—a Christian confessional school with an innovative pedagogical approach—the goal was to recruit 32 new staff members to launch its academic year.

The challenge was not only the number of positions but also the limited timeframe and the high-quality standards required to fill them.

With Yellow’s support, the institution not only successfully filled all positions but also exceeded expectations regarding candidate experience, achieving an impressive NPS score of 100.

Timeline and Complexity of the Selection Process

The process began in late September 2023, with an initial goal of filling 46 vacancies to kick off the school’s operations.

In addition to managing a high volume of applications (over 1,500), Colégio Central needed to adjust student groupings during the process, postponing some hires for a later stage.

Another major challenge was the tight schedule—interviews and assessments took place over 12 weeks to select 32 qualified professionals.

To meet the demand, Yellow’s team worked in close collaboration with Colégio Central.

The goal was to ensure every stage of the process was carried out with efficiency and transparency.

With over 60 hours of interviews, group dynamics, and assessments, Yellow leveraged its recruitment expertise and talent attraction program to ensure Colégio Central hired candidates aligned with both the institution’s cultural fit and technical requirements.

Additionally, to support future hiring needs, we provided a database of pre-screened candidates to allow for more agile replacements.

A crucial part of this work was candidate experience. Throughout the process, we provided regular and appropriate feedback.

Our team also coached Colégio Central’s interviewers on best practices, contributing to higher-quality hiring decisions.
